That day will go down in Blysster history as the day the hackers pissed off the WRONG group of nerds.
After 8 years of being virtually untouched by hackers, somebody got into the guts of Blysster.com thanks to a security hiccup with the Vbulletin software we run. That security breech allowed two shit-for-brains asshats to access, lock down, and deface our community. They spread their hateful message all over the forum pages, locking all members from accessing anything.
8 years of pictures, posts, stories, debates, messages of friendship, messages of anger, and too many memories to count were all lost because of these chicken-shit little fucks. They hide behind their computer screens, hacking into websites just because it gets them off.
Luckily they weren't able to pull any personal information from the site, all they could do was destroy what we've all worked so hard to build. Little did they know that their game would land them in the midst of a bunch of pissed off nerds. Blysster.com is damn proud of its nerds and geeks and computer wiz denizens.
We WILL be avenged.

Glad to see that we are back up. I am horrified and pissed off that everything is gone. The lazy assholes really need to get what's coming to them.

If the hackers are out of the country, I wonder if there is a way for to check the IP's of incoming visits from out of country, the best bet is it would be them, as if it was me who hacked a site I would check it frequently to read the reactons of my work. Also, I took a screen shot of the hacked website as I saw it.....however it appears to be a little different than what everybody is talking about.

Well then I won't quote DW. =) I will however agree with her. I was going nuts without my Blysster fix and missed everyone and all the chatter I love to read.

Well I was at FamineLeopard's last weekend. And I guess he Googled these guys and found out that they had hacked numerous other websites with the same defacement. Plus these guys had there own website devoted to Islam and Allah.

I thought it was a joke when I pulled up Blysster that day. Then I started to wonder if maybe I had gotten banned for some reason. I thought that because it was the same screen all day and Aedrie was busy when I had texted her asking if she had seen it. So I let doubt get to me until she confirmed that someone did indeed attack Blysster.
I had to giggle when I thought of how sorry they were and are going to be. They had no idea who they fucked with. Opty, Wang, all the other computer nerds of Blysster and all their nerd friends. :)

I would imagine that another huge loss in having to start anew in the forums is losing your post numbers. Some people who have posted for years racked up thousands of posts, which would have been a thing of pride. And now that is gone. I weep for you.

I have noticed I have a rather disturbing lack of moral restraint in my thoughts and my conscience seems to have nearly completely checked-out of late. In the past I have tended to try have live a balanced life., By which I mean, I would try to do as much 'evil' as I would 'good'. Since the birth of my BabyH@™ I feel like I've done so much freakin 'good' that I now should have nearly carte blanche for 'evil'.
That being said, getting into some sort of pissing match with some attention seeking asshole sounds like a waste of time. Doing so just give him the attention he's seeking and I could end p covered in piss.
I've been treating the whole upsetting incident the same way I handle things when my order get screwed up at a fast food joint. Instead of getting upset that some minimum wage burger flipper fucked my order by 'forgetting' my curly fries I instead feel smug. Because either he tried to mess things up to fuck with me and this is all the power he has to yield or he tried his best and still fucked things up. Either way, he's flipping burgers. That's the best job he could get and he can't even do that right. Either way he is just a subject of my pity. It's possible that he may get his life on track one day and find a way to redeem himself but for right now all he has managed to do point out his failings.
That how I feel about this asshole. He got my attention with the way he screwed things up but now I know that he's another burger-flippin' script-kiddie and that's really quite sad. What could we do to him that would be meaner than just living well and being happy?
So if, you'll pardon me, I think I'll go and kiss my beautiful wife and daughter and then continue my pursuit of higher education.
