The night is still, as the sun is high in the air. A pile of dust on the edge of a cliff shudders. A loud 'whuff' is heard, and a dust cloud shrouds the moon lit day.

As visibility returns, a brand new Kantina can be seen. The windows hide the brand new bar stools, bar, and Bartender-O-Matic in the back kitchen.

The stillness in the air holds the potential for destruction and mayhem...who will answer it's siren call first?

Opty enters, smiles, breathes deep the smell of fear-to-come.

"Lets do this!" she shouts, and heads to the bar.

Ambones enters in a really foul mood, loads a shotgun and waits for the bartenders.

Aedrie snaps her fingers and the DNA fairies come out of the woodwork and reset the machine.

The first bartender has three legs, four arms and two half heads. It shambles to the bar, and mixes up Opty and Ambones' drinks from memory. Ugly bastard it may be, but it knows its drinks.

The second bartender looks like Casanova on steroids. He struts out in bright red looking for trouble.

LAG enters the bar and unsheathes his Tetsuseiga and lops off the head of Casanova much to the disappointment of the ladies in the bar. Orders a scotch from the remaining bartender.

I'm still drinking Scotch and lopping off the heads of the bartenders. They look like Kanye West now...who fucked with the clone machine?

I'm beginning to think the machine responds not only to injected DNA but the current moods and needs of the Blyssterites!

Ready to assume your Kantina throne, Opty? I cleaned the bartender guts off of it for ya!

LOL, well.... I'm always watching whether I'm "in" here or not .... creepy, no?

It's been nearly a year since anyone walked in this place. The blood has long since dried to rust on the carpet. But you shoulda seen the mayhem last...oh, musta been last August, September. It was surreal, lemme tellya. If I hadn't had a few beers in me, I'd be deep in PTSD hell right now.

I was the lucky one. No one saw me here in the dark corner of the bar, nursing my seventh Miller High Life of the evening. When the shitstorm started, I just leaned back in my chair and tried to sit real still....

'Course, the High Life ran out a couple months back. But if you were to buy me another Pabst, I'll sure tell you a story....

*wakes up from her year long nap and shakes her head to clear the cobwebs* "Dude, that was a hell of a drink."
*looks around and goes to fiddle with the bartender-o- matic to see if it'll start again.*

[Opens a Pabst] Take Ambones, over there. She doesn't remember, but she's had a hell of a year. She thinks she's just now waking up, but damn, she's been awake all this while. It was ugly to watch. She just couldn't believe it, so assumed she must be dreaming...or drinking.

It's like that, you know. 9/11? Child's play. Only a few thousand dead. That was one of the smaller jokes played by Those In Charge. But we're all so naive, you know? We think, "I would never do a thing like that," so we assume that no one else would, either. But they do, they do.

We have no idea what's really happening in this world. We get all comfortable with our television shows. With the everyday drama of our jobs. We're all just scrambling to put some eggs on the table, you know? We don't see the big picture. We don't see the machetes, only the vegetation severed from its roots. We don't see the perils of a money based economy; we just see lots of people not quite making it, and a few big names raking it in. We're so deep in the matrix that we think that's the way things ought to be.

Buy me another beer, wouldja? Oh, never mind. It's my turn, and past. Let me buy you one.

I'll tellya: this bar..."Katana Kantina" they call it...has been a bloody place. But no bloodier than your average mall, your average grocery store, your average diner.

I'll give ya this: it's a crazy world.

*finishes fiddling with the bartender-o-matic and adds her DNA to the lot and turns it on, out pops more Ambones clones, naked of course and they start to clean up the place. I then of course grab the bottle of SOCO off the shelf and go to sit next to Optys throne to watch the clones do their job*

~snores herself awake with a start~

WTF, mate? Someone slip a gallon of Valium in the drinks, or what? I distinctly TOLD the damn clones to put LAXATIVES in the fucking drinks, not Valium :tantrum2:

[The big bearded guy in the corner ceases his quiet conversation, raises his beer can as well as his voice, and addresses everyone in the bar].

"Give'em a break, boss. I was way over here, but I woulda sworn you said 'RELAXATIVES.'"
