While I agree that what was done was wrong, I have to say that we only know ONE side of the story. If it was his manager that did this, then isn't there a possibility that maybe just maybe the Paisley's don't know what went down?

I won't condemn him until I know the full story.

I'd also like to add that though the people were told they could stay, in the end the property belongs to the Paisleys and they can do what ever they want with it. That is the hazards of renting. Unless you own the property you are ultimately under the control of a landlord.

That is very true LT. But I'm sure they have to have noticed that the family -- AND the charity they ran -- is gone and if they didn't know about the manager's actions, they should have when that was discovered. Plus, what about the reason given to them to move... So the 100 year old home can be torn down to build a new bus barn.

Now, I agree, this is only one side of the story. But I also agree that this NEEDS to be looked into. Maybe it is just that I grew up here on the West Coast, but ANYTHING that is over 100 years old out here is looked at as ancient (the town I lived in had it's first white settlers in 1880) and wouldn't be allowed to be torn down for something rediculous. They have over 20 acres, if I remember correctly, so just pick a different place!

Also, I'm a person of my word. I believe anyone who gives their word on something and then goes back on it is shit... (No, I'm not including that as a blanket statement. Just if you say you are going to do something, fucking do it -- or don't say you will! DUH!) Kind of a personal pet peeve of mine.

Hmmmph! These country singers are constantly droning one about how a man's word is his bond? Well now we see that ain't true. I will be gathering up all the Paisley CDs in the house and put them in a box along with my nastiest runny poo and send it to his agency. Well, The Lovely Lori owns them but after I tell her about this......
I know they will no longer be in my DJ collection. I wonder if there was any mention of this land acquisition in Country Weekly? Lori gets that mag. I mean it's his land to do with as he wishes, but he shouldn't make promises he can't or won't keep. At the very least, he could have helped them find new digs.
