How infuriating that must be! He's totally right though. They have no LEGAL leg to stand on. Thing is, I get the distinct impression that while he isn't SAYING to boycott the copy-cat film, he wouldn't frown on a little peaceful demonstration (by way of zipping closed those pocket books!)

Copyright infringement is one of the biggest fears of an artist of ANY branch. Very scary stuff... and the laws don't always seem fair =(

MEh. Hollywood has been this way for years. As soon as an original idea FINALLY pops it head up, 2-200 clones are instantaneously made. I try to take each film as an individual take on the same premise. I agree that it sucks for Repo! to have their idea ripped off, but that is what Hollywood does all the time.
