OK, I played it for a while a couple years ago... I enjoyed it, but didn't really know anyone else who played at the time. I see it is still going strong in popularity, so my question...
Did anyone here play, if so do they still? What server/realm etc. Should I even consider dabbling in it again?

ive played since release.. im currently on The Forgotten Coast.. horde... and on Kel'Thazod Alliance...
i have tons of toons on several diff servers but those two are where you can find me when im on.
Ive almost convinced myself to quit playing but im itching to see the newest expansion before i make any decisions.
how bout you?

Well like I said I used to play.. Actually got to LV40 with one and I dunno... 6 or 7 with another Garona I think was the server. I still have my old disks and I think I remember my logon info. I am downloading the latest version, but don't I need to buy expansion packs or something?

boo, hiss... WOW sucked in my opinion. Not my kind of game. Too simple. *shakes head* Needed a deeper storyline to hold my interest, and the "customization" is a joke.
With all that said though, Blizzard did a good job providing a simple, fun game that can be enjoyed by all ages and on almost all computers. They delivered what they promised, and I have major respect for them for that.

Played for awhile before I got into AoC, and now playing again... Doomhammer server, Alliance side, Argalis is toons name... Look me up if ya wanna!

Sheesh. Looks like it will take another 24 hours of downloading before I will actually be online again. If I join a different server I will be starting at the beginning again.. Sheesh again.
I stopped playing before the burning crusade expansion came out... Do I need to pay extra to run that expansion? In what way is it different? I got an offer by email for a ten day free "reinstatement" of my old account for downloading the expansion... So now it is downloading (Freaking huge) I live in the boonies so the best I can get is 1.5 DSL.

Yes, if you want to get past 60th level, you need to purchase the expansion... Think it runs around $30, somewhere in that range... With the expansion, they added new Talent trees for most classes, 7 new outdoor zones, 2 new player races (Blood Elves for Horde, Dranei for Alliance), bunch of new content, bunch of new items, 2 new proffessions (Jewelcrafter, and Inscription). Of course, you cannot really go to the new zones until yer about 59th level... Well, cant go and actually fight out there, you can get ports to the cities and such, but nothing really different from main cities before the expansion... Is it worth it? I definetely think so

OK Toon names, Realm, factions etc.. I will find you if I can. I got the damn thing up and running, My old characters are still there on Garona. I guess I can make new level ones if I can have some leveling help to get started.

Oh yeah, Argalis is a Draenai Hunter, and Vel is a Blood Elf Paladin, in case you need starting cities

I just picked up playing again too. Server Im on is Malygos. Vinxx is on horde, Drijia is alliance. Ive got a bunch of low lvls if you pick up on the server. Or I might just show up on the others anyway =)

I got all the patches downloaded and logged on last night. Fired up my old LVL 40 rogue... And quickly realized that I have NO IDEA how to play anymore. I think I need to start a new Toon and re-learn with a guide.

Ill level a new one with you and run you through if you'd like. Let me know what server and what not, I never have anyone to play with anyway. They JUST did a new big patch to get ready for the expansion, so some things Im getting the hang of too..
I am on Llane with a few toons plus a couple of other servers but don't remember the names right now

So, should I go with a PVP server? Should I stick with Garona because I have older Toons to trade with? I never did a PVP server so I don't know the benefits.
If there is no good reason to do PVP then Garona will be my choice due to it isn't as crowded as others.
Horde or Alliance? My Lvl 40 is alliance. I know that best.

Unless yer really into the PvP aspect of the game, I would advise against going full on PvP.... For me, thats what I like about WoW PvE servers... You can join the BG's at anytime, and still get the PvP fun out of it...

I play on zul' jin on the horde side. Almost anything wiht Jackalghost or jackal in it will be me. My main character is a lvl 38 undead warrior.

Well, level 70 Mage on the Elune server....but I think I'll wait a week or so before picking up the expansion....the release date is catching me in the middle of a move and besides that, I'm too deep in the Fallout 3 wasteland

i made a couple on there, havnt caught you on yet. look for Brin or Vyadonna. not sure which ill use. and i dont plan on getting the new expansion til next week, let all the crazies get it out of their system =p

The Death Knight storyline is a lot of fun so far. In it, you're evil....not tragically misunderstood, but bloody handed evil.
That changes from what I understand...but I'll enjoy it while I can
