Thats a great list Skizz, two of my all time favorites are in there.
I think you should pick up The running man next. Trust me, its WAY better then the movie.
As for me, what have I read lately?
The Rise and fall of ECW by various authors/wrestlers.
(Its actually really good, gives a neat insiders look to how things were in the 80s-90s in the world of wrestling)
And I'm currently reading..
How to make love...like Bruce Campbell by Bruce Campbell
Its....groovey.

I haven't read anything new lately--but I'm hoping to find something interesting soon. Horror is my poison, but I have yet to find anything that grabs my attention.

The Felix Gomez series by Mario Acevedo (urban fantasy)
Dune by Frank Herbert (classic fantasy)
Bird by Bird Anne Lamott (writing book for class)
The first two Dresden Files books by Jim Butcher (urban fantasy)
That's really it for the last bit. I'm too busy right now to really read. It sucks.
Opty, check out Mario Acevedo. They're pretty fun. So are Jim Butcher's Dresden books.

Thanks, Aedrie!
I have a running list in my journal if you want to see what I've been reading. It's mostly Young adult paranormal/fantasty.

This is just gonna exemplify my nerdiness, but what the hell:
Rendezvous With Rama by Arthur C. Clarke
Needful Things by Stephen King
Green Lantern: Secret Origin by Geoff Johns and Ivan Reis
Green Lantern: Rebirth by Geoff Johns, Ethan Van Sciver, and Prentis Rollins
Green Lantern: No Fear by Geoff Johns, Ethan Van Sciver, Carlos Pacheco, Darwyn Cooke, and Simone Bianchi
Green Lantern: Revenge of the Green Lanterns by Geoff Johns, Ethan Van Sciver, Carlos Pacheco, and Ivan Reis
Green Lantern: Wanted - Hal Jordan by Geoff Johns, Ivan Reis, Daniel Acuna, and Oclair Albert
Green Lantern Corps: Recharge by Peter Tomasi, Dave Gibbons and Patrick Gleason
Green Lantern Corps: Ring Quest by Peter Tomasi and Patrick Gleason
52 volumes 1-4 by, again, Geoff Johns. This would be the third or fourth time I've read that series in the...9 months I've owned it.
Elven Star by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman
Next up is Batman: A Death in the Family, and Justice League International volume one. If Amazon would EVER deliver them, that is.

Not as much time for books as I would like, because once I start reading I can't put the damn thing down until it is done. Caveman gets a bit pissy when I haven't done ANYTHING all day when he gets home from work, but I'm on Chapter 19.... hehehehehe And then the damn kids want things like food and clean clothes for school and help with homework -- all this gets in the way of my reading.... But I did read a book last week when I was sick and in bed all day.
The Secret Hour by Luanne Rice (I've been raiding Mom's stash and have found some quick to read stuff that I would have never gotten for myself... good stuff for busy moms to read.
Duma Key by Stephen King not too long ago...
That's about it (other than National Geographic and Newsweek *shrug*)

Recently finished:
~ Two Weeks Under by Rivka Tadjer*
~ David Copperfield by Charles Dickens
In the process of reading:
~ The Mill of the Floss by George Eliot
~ A New Earth by Eckhard Tolle
* Highly recommend Two Weeks Under, the book explores the societal influences of "thinness" on women. Rivka is a brilliant writer that was a guest on my internet radio show (http://journeytoself.info/show-notes/february-26th-journey-to-self-body-image-in-the-techno-age). I loved how she addresses the issues of body image and youth in our society. The story is written as a thriller - I ripped through it in 2 days.
