Default Nightmare on Elm St. 2010

Robert Englund has been de-throned, the new Freddy is much more nasty, smart, creepy and just all-around awesome. While the movie itself isn't really a remake, just more of a do-over it blows the original out of the water, and as most of you know i'm not a Freddy fan.....but i was floored by Jackie Earle Haley's performance, he was pretty much everything i wanted out of Englund's Freddy.....anyway

you all know the plot, but we get to see a bit more into Kruger's past....which is one of the reasons he's nastier in this one, correct me if i'm wrong but in the original he was only a murderer of children, this one he does a bit more. As for the other characters, Nancy is the only one (in name anyway) to appear. the storyline was good enough to make the movie interesting throughout, never a dull moment. not much in the comedy department, this one takes a more serious, sinister route. i really don't have anything negative to say about this one, BUT it would have been kinda cool if they had gone with the twist that arises as to why they are being killed off.....but then again it may have taken some of the deamonization out of Freddy.

I'm thrilled this thing didn't suck! I was worried!

I don't think the movie will suck but Freddy just doesn't look right . I mean I know it's a new guy and all but when I picture Freddy in my mind it will always look like Robert Englund's Freddy to me. At least from what I have seen as far as trailers go, they have stuck pretty close to the original story.

the new freddy looks like an actual burn victim, not all gore and shit like they did with the original, and yes the trailers did make it look alot like the original, but it's not
