Blysster Press is currently accepting submissions for all genres. Please send a query letter, a 1 - 3 page synopsis of your story (including the ending), and the first chapter or 10 pages, whichever is smaller. Please click here to send.
We prefer Open Office .odt format (Open Office is FREE here) but we will accept initial submissions in .pdf, .txt (formatted). Please note, we dislike .doc or .docx, but we'll accept them if that's all you have.
**We are not looking for poetry at this time. We are not currently accepting graphic novels, but we DO plan to open GN submissions in the future.
TIPS for successful submissions:
**Don't address the query letter to "Editor" or other non-personal greeting. Take the time to figure out who you're talking to. If you can't take a moment to find our names, then why should we spend time and energy publishing your books?
**Send us your very best work. Polish your work and send us the very best you can do.
**Your submission should be edited for grammar and spelling. Major typos and mistakes will disqualify your submission.
**Your submission should be unique. We don't want to see the same old same old. There is nothing new under the sun, but at least take those tried and true old ideas and give us a twist!
**Include your contact information. Name, pen name, email address, website (if you have one.)
**In your query letter, tell us a little about you. Be friendly. We're not interested in stiff, formal letters. Relax. Writing should be FUN! Blysster Press is a family. We want to know YOU as a person, so take a deep breath and enjoy the process.
