Apparently our PC crowd is doing quite a number on textbooks used in schools now. I read recently that some pretty horrible things like “Perfume” were being removed from textbooks. Wouldn’t want our kids to read about perfume now, it might be considered sexist…. Catch the sarcasm? It’s true; I’m not making this shit up. Gail Stein a teacher from New York and author of French books was told to remove all references to perfume because it was sexist! She can’t talk about champagne because it might encourage underage drinking (Like they need any encouragement) and can’t mention the use of cognac in making chocolate mousse. I’m wondering at this point what will be left in textbooks by the time my two young daughters reach 5th and 6th grade.

Gail Stein being forced to remove certain things from her books is one thing, but then we look at the fabrications being taught to other kids from books already in print. Things like a photo in “America’s Past and Promise” (supposed to be a history book used by middle school kids) shows a bunch of men standing hand in hand around a huge tree in 1915, the General Sherman sequoia in California. They are measuring the tree, but the teachers are teaching the kids that the men are “Conservationists” trying to stop loggers from cutting it down…. Back in 1915 conservation sure was a big deal huh?  Its shit like this that makes my head spin. I can’t believe the lies and the false information our kids are getting in public schools! I send my kids to school hoping they will be taught the truth, science and math, reading and writing… instead they come home with heads full of PC shit and lies. Do you know how long it takes me to UNDO what the public school system has done to my kids?

Not only are they being told lies about trees and conservation and being kept from hearing about perfumes, they are also being contaminated by creationists. That’s right, in Texas some zealot creationists (another rant in and of itself) complained about the scientific explanation of geological events taking place “Millions of years ago” and fossil fuels being formed “millions of years ago”, now the teachers and books have to say “Happened a long time ago” or “In the distant past” because the “Millions of years ago” conflicts with biblical timelines.

If those fucking nutbags want their kids growing up to think GOD created everything, dinosaurs never existed and every human on earth came from Adam and Eve that’s THEIR business! Don’t tell MY kids your dim-witted lies! When kids are in school (PUBLIC SCHOOL mind you) I expect them ALL to learn the TRUTH in science. We have already proven where fossil fuels come from, we have already proven how old the layers in the earth are, we have already proven that the earth it ROUND…. If zealot morons want to mislead their kids and make them think there is an all mighty all powerful god up there making gas for our cars whenever we need it… fine… keep it at home…. Make them wear bonnets and drive horse carts while you’re at it. Keep those lies and ridiculous stories out of MY kids’ heads!
